DESCRIPTION:Please join the MBA Child and Youth Law Section in a Meet MACY (The Manitoba Advocate for Children and Youth) session with Sherry Gott, the new Manitoba Advocate for Children and Youth.\nMACY is an independent office of the Manitoba legislature empowered to support children, youth, and young adults, in exercising their rights and accessing the services available to them. MACY also conducts valuable research on matters important to children and youth and conducts investigations into serious injuries and deaths of young people.\nThe Child and Youth Law Sections is excited to provide an opportunity to members to meet Sherry Gott and learn more about the critical work of the Manitoba Advocate and MACY.\nPlease RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online at www.cbapd.org.\nAt approximately 9:30am on Tuesday, February 15, 2023 an email will be sent from the MBA advising you of the link that you will click on to join the Zoom video conference meeting.\n
