DESCRIPTION:Please join the MBA Young Lawyer’s Section and MBA Civil Litigation Section for the annual Small Claims Primer. This session is recommended for all law students, articling students and associates who will be handling small claims.\nThe distinguished panel of speakers includes lawyers Amber Harms (Fillmore Riley LLP) and Melanie LaBossiere (Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP), as well as Small Claims Hearing Officer Elizabeth Bima and Small Claims Coordinator Jay Buddick. The panel will review all of the steps of the small claims procedure, from drafting, filing and preparing for the hearing through to presenting the claim before a Small Claims Hearing Officer.\nRSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association at www.cbapd.org ( http://www.cbapd.org ).
