DESCRIPTION:The Equality Section is committed to working towards substantive equality in the legal profession. Lawyers with disabilities* are welcome to join this virtual round table where we will start the process of connecting lawyers with disabilities with one another, and hear from those attending about the ways the MBA can better support lawyers with disabilities, remove barriers to equitable participation in the profession, and disrupt ableism in professional settings.\n*We use an inclusive definition of disability; all lawyers whose disabilities are permanent, long term, intermittent, visible, invisible, in all forms, are welcome.\nPlease RSVP to the Manitoba Bar Association online HERE. The link to join the Zoom meeting will be sent to attendees at 9:30am on November 29, 2023.\nAttendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba’s Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of 1.5 EPPM hours.\n
