SUMMARY:The Notwithstanding Clause: Recent Developments and Debates
DESCRIPTION:SPEAKER: Professor Robert Leckey, McGill University \nThe notwithstanding clause in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms has been making headlines, including with recent uses by the legislatures of Quebec, Ontario, and Saskatchewan. The link to join the Zoom meeting will be sent on the morning of the meeting.\nAttendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba’s Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of 1.5 hours.\n
