SUMMARY:LAW M01A – Family Justice 1: Conflict Engagement, Conflict Resolution and Communication
DESCRIPTION:This micro-credential will support learners in acquiring and refining conflict engagement, conflict resolution, and communication skills to support family law and justice.  Participants will learn to identify family dynamics and relations that impact legal proceedings. They will learn to recognize their own conflict engagement styles and be able to identify these styles in others.  Learners will practice communication strategies with each other, taking part in simulated challenging conversations and receiving constructive feedback from peers.  This micro-credential will provide learners with tools and resources to facilitate the practice of family law and justice.\nThis micro-credential is delivered as a mix of asynchronous online learning within Canvas and weekly live synchronous sessions on Zoom.\n\nThe course runs from Thursday, September 12 to Thursday, October 10. Each week there are learning materials to explore and module activities and assignments to complete within Canvas.\nYou will have access to the Canvas course starting September 9.\nEach week there are also mandatory live Zoom sessions on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm (Saskatchewan time). These Zoom sessions are opportunities to practice and demonstrate the skills explored within the Canvas modules.\n\nLearners will be assessed using a competency-based system.
