This session is recommended for all law students, articling students and associates who will be handling claims in front of the Residential Tenancies Branch and Residential Tenancies Commission.\nThe panel of speakers include Simon Garfinkel (Taylor McCaffrey LLP), Hearing Officer Jesse Thorne Finch and Deputy Chief Commissioner Nunziata Masi who will review all of the steps of the claims procedure from drafting, filing and preparing for the hearing through to presenting the claim before a Hearing Officer and a subsequent appeal.\nRSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online (link above). Non-members may attend for a cost of $150.\nThe link to join the Zoom meeting will be sent out at 9:30am on November 26, 2024.\nAttendance at this MBA meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of 1.5 hours.\n
