DESCRIPTION:Without administrative assistants, the justice system would fall apart.  We constantly rely on them yet they have few opportunities to become familiar with so many aspects of legal work, except by trial and error.  This session is geared towards legal assistants who are interested in learning the ins and outs of filing requirements for appeals in the Court of Appeal and the Court of King’s Bench.  We will discuss such riveting topics as requirements relating to documents including the prescribed timelines for filing them.  Lawyers are welcome but are encouraged to support their support people in being able to attend!\nPlease RSVP to the Manitoba Bar Association online (link above). Non-CBA members may email sections@cba-mb.ca to register.\nAttendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba’s Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of 2.5 hours.\n
