Autumn – A Season of The Transitions: The Demise of The Crown and Working From Home

Moderator:  Melanie R. Bueckert, Legal Research Counsel – Manitoba Court of Appeal

The MBA Public Sector Lawyers’ Section invites you to join us for a virtual roundtable to discuss the impact of the demise of the Crown on your practice, as well as the ongoing impact of COVID on your working arrangements.  Please come prepared to discuss how the demise of the Crown affected your area of practice.  We will also spend some time sharing our experiences regarding returning to work at this stage of the pandemic.  This will be an informal opportunity to get to know your public sector colleagues.  If you work for the government (federal, provincial or municipal), a Crown corporation, a university or other school, a healthcare organization or a professional regulator (or any other public sector employer), then you are welcome to join us!

Please RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online at www.cbapd.org.

If you are having troubles, please email sections@cba-mb.ca.

At approximately 9:30am on Thursday, October 13, 2022 an email will be sent from the MBA advising you of the link that you will click on to join the Zoom video conference meeting.  So it will be important to register before 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Attendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society mandatory yearly continuing professional development requirement for Ethics, Professionalism and Practice Management for a maximum of 1.5 hours.
