Communication and Trust with a Multicultural Clientele

Audience participation is welcome in French, English or both.

Join us to increase your cultural competence to better meet the needs of your customers. This program will explore the impact of cultural differences on communication.

Professor Mamadou Ka  will bring an academic perspective on what culture is, its impact on how we communicate, and the obstacles that can arise in intercultural communication. He will address cultural and communication differences in general, but also in the context of legal cases and the public’s interactions with the justice system and lawyers.

Next, Tarik Daoudi and Brigitte Kutin from AJEFM, and Brittney Fehr and Gelareh Manghebati from FM Law , will participate in a panel discussion to share their experiences and offer their suggestions on how to work effectively, and sensitively, with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

With the support of AJEFM, the Bar is pleased to offer this program at a very low registration fee for lawyers and free registration for interns and law students.
