Law in the Library – A Human Rights Primer

Join Ryan Savage for an online presentation on:

  • Basic overview – protected grounds, the applicable tests for establishing discrimination, undue hardship and other important concepts,
  • A review of pre-complaint, complaint and investigative processes with practical tips for complainants and respondents to navigate the system,
  • Recent updates, including dismissal of complaints without investigation, and
  • The Supreme Court of Canada decision (Horrocks) and its impact on unionized workers.

Ryan Savage is a partner at Taylor McCaffrey LLP and was admitted to the Manitoba Bar in 2003.

This presentation is in partnership with the Winnipeg Public Library.  It runs from noon to 1:15 pm.
