Every year, thousands of live horses are forced into small crates and then shipped by air overseas, where they are slaughtered for human consumption. These horses travel in excess of 15 hours without food, water or rest, and often longer by the time they reach the final destination and slaughterhouse.
Please join the CBA BC, Manitoba, and PEI Branches for this informative and collaborative session. This panel discussion will focus on the background and legalities of this industry, animal welfare concerns, and on the people who are trying to end the live export of horses in Canada.
Please RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online at www.cbapd.orgRegistration will close on March 8, 2022.
