Technology Assisted Violence and Teen Dating Webinar

Online harassment, trolling, and the non-consensual sharing of intimate images are common forms of tech facilitated violence that can impact anyone in the dating scene, especially teens.

What about lesser known and more subvert tech facilitated forms of violence such as doxing, sextortion, and the manipulation of images on social media?

With one quick upload from our smartphones, we are sharing some of the most intimate aspects of our lives and ourselves, often without fully appreciating the potential consequences.

Join CLEA and Dr. Amber Merucci of the Manitoba Association of Women’s Shelters to learn more about cyber hazards and signs of unhealthy relationships. How can we support teens in their navigation of the online world? What protections does the law provide? This 90 minute program aims to help us better understand the ways technology is shaping the youth experience and what can be done to manage the associated risks.

The event is finished.
