The Neuroscience of Resilience

How Your Client’s Past Experiences May Inform the Services You Provide Today

Lifelong health is determined by more than just our genes. Modern brain science shows that the experiences we have early in life are literally built into our brains and bodies to affect life course trajectories, for good or for ill.

In this session, you will learn the basics of how brains are built:

  • what kind of experiences promote healthy brain architecture;
  • what kind of experiences derail it; and
  • how these experiences get “under our skins” to affect learning, social and health outcomes across the lifespan.

Why should you attend? This program offers evidence-based information about how past adversity in your client’s life may inform the services you provide to them today.

Presenter: Dr. Nicole Sherren (PhD Neuroscience), R2P Solutions
