Valuing Animals in Law and Policy: Moving Toward a Humane Canada

SPEAKER: Toolika Rastogi, Senior Manager of Policy and Research, Humane Canada

Please join the Animal Law Section to learn about Humane Canada’s Legal Keystone Report, entitled Measuring Progress Toward a Humane Canada. Toolika Rastogi of Humane Canada will discuss key findings and recommendations from the report, and highlight Humane Canada’s Criminal Justice System Reform program, including work with Crown prosecutors and allied professionals on the National Centre for the Prosecution of Animal Cruelty.

At approximately 9:30am on Thursday, October 13, 2022 an email will be sent from the MBA advising you of the link that you will click on to join the Zoom video conference meeting.  So it will be important to register before 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Attendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba’s Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of one hour.
