Webinar: The Developing Law of Family Violence in Family Law

The Access to Justice & Law Reform Institute is offering free one-hour webinars for legal professionals on the developing law of family violence in family law cases.

In this webinar, we review recent cases on coercive control and post-separation family violence. We look at case law considering the direct indirect impacts of family violence on children and take a deep-dive into the “safe” parenting orders that judges are making in the context of family violence.

Registrants will receive an accompanying manual setting out the framework to establish a family violence claim in family court and details on “safe” parenting orders with relevant cases. As well, registrants will receive a link to our online family law bench book.

Register for a free one-hour webinar for legal professionals on new family violence cases. We will cover new cases related to coercive control, the indirect impact of family violence on children, and different types of “safe” parenting orders issued in the context of family violence.

We will be distributing new materials on family violence and family law to registrants. You can also subscribe to our bi-monthly newsletter of family violence cases here: https://tinyurl.com/mrxfp943
