May 14, 2026. News Release. Manitoba Government Supports Heart and Stroke Care – The Manitoba government is continuing its partnership with Heart and Stroke Manitoba with $150,000 in funding to support public education on stroke awareness through the FAST Signs of Stroke campaign and women’s heart health initiatives, as well as an additional $25,000 to support the new Women’s Heart Care Clinic at St. Boniface Hospital, Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care Minister Uzoma Asagwara announced today.

- Bill 300. The Winnipeg Foundation Amendment Act/Loi modifiant la Loi sur la Fondation dénommée « The Winnipeg Foundation » – The Winnipeg Foundation Act is amended. The mayor of the City of Winnipeg is no longer required to be a member of the board of directors of the Foundation. Audit information about the Foundation’s financial statements must be published on its website. Currently, information respecting the audit must be published in a newspaper and copies of the auditor’s report must be provided on request.
- Bill 301. The Westminster United Church Foundation Incorporation Amendment Act/Loi modifiant la Loi constituant en corporation la « Westminster United Church Foundation » – The Westminster United Church Foundation Incorporation Act is amended. If the immediate past Chair position is vacant, the Vice-Chair of the General Board of Westminster United Church is to serve on the board of trustees. In addition, the Foundation’s assets are to be distributed to registered charities as determined by the board of trustees if the Foundation is dissolved.

- Provincial Offences Act (May 6, 2026) – Regulation 39/2026 is made.
- Statutes & Regulations Act (May 6, 2026) – The temporary appointment of Philip Samyn to the position of Chief Legislative Counsel and Assistant Deputy Minister, Manitoba Justice is approved.
- Statutes & Regulations Act (May 6, 2026) – Peter Ward is appointed as Registrar of Regulations. Philip Samyn, Jacqueline Boily and Patricia Doyle are designated as Deputy Registrars of Regulations. The designations of Sean Boyd, Glenn Joynt, Christina Wasyliw, Liam Black, Stephen Porco, Joshua Fineblit and Jonathan Katz as Deputy Registrars of Regulations are confirmed.
