Notice #67 – Provincial Court of Manitoba – Further Suspensions and Restrictions of Hearings (May 21, 2021)
Further suspensions and modifications will take effect on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 and remain in place until Friday, June 11, 2021 or until a further Notice is issued. These modifications will focus on restricting the need for persons to attend in person in any Provincial Court in Manitoba.

Notice #66 – Provincial Court of Manitoba – Further Suspension & Restriction of Hearings in Winnipeg and Brandon Judicial Centres (Amended)
In line with public health directives, further suspensions and modifications will take effect on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, and remain in place until Monday, May 31, 2021, or a further Notice is issued. These modifications will focus on restricting the need for persons to attend in person in Winnipeg and Brandon, and the circuit court sittings serviced out of Winnipeg and Brandon. Other Regional Court Centres are not affected by this notice at this time, though, are closely being monitored.

April 6, 2021 – Mandatory Case Management for Sexual Offences
“Beginning May 3, 2021, to facilitate the proper scheduling of trials for sexual offences, when a voir dire is required in advance of the trial, a case management conference is mandatory in order to set the trial date, discuss the issues anticipated to be raised at the pre-trial motions, and the timing of the motions in relation to the trial date.”

” As part of ongoing efforts to improve and modernize services, The Provincial Court of Manitoba has authorized the Winnipeg Police Service and RCMP to submit court informations with electronic signatures. This change will take place effective immediately.”
